On a recent trip that I did to Mauritius, I knew I’d need a few smart / casual looks for both business meetings we had planned, as well as for those evening walks on the beach before dinner so I made a point of heading to Old Khaki as I’d heard good things.
I managed to pick up quite a few pieces from them, but the look I wanted to focus on was this Jonathan Linen Shirt as well as the smart / casual Barkley Shorts.
This specific look from Old Khaki was perfect for the smarter business lunch meeting we had at the trendy Beach Rouge Restaurant at LUX* Belle Mare where I didn’t want to feel too warm by wearing longer trousers in humid conditions, but also wanted to look smart enough to fit the surroundings.
The look also worked really well with both the Pink Gin & Tonic we were given on arrival for our lunch, as well as the bubblegum ice-cream I smashed into my face after what was a super delicious lunch and meeting.
After lunch, walking back to the SALT of Palmar, where we were staying (and actually a sister hotel in the LUX* group), I got to take off the shoes, unbutton the shirt and all of a sudden I was in full casual mode once again.
