If you’re headed to the quaint village of Adelboden in Switzerland, make sure you book yourself into The Cambrian Hotel because it has SO much to offer its guests, both in the hotel and in the surrounding areas too.
If you’re not aware, there are over 300 Design Hotels around the world, all individually owned, yet part of a beautiful “Club” of beautifully designed hotels, each with their own unique theme and look.
The Cambrian Hotel is one of those 300 hotels and we recently got to stay in their junior suite on our last two nights in Switzerland. It was AMAZING!
Here’s a quick little review and guide of things to do in the area, in case you ever happen to find yourself in Adelboden.
The Cambrian Hotel
Apart from their lavish rooms, The Cambrian Hotel offers guests an incredible experience when staying there, from the bar and restaurant areas, all the way to the Spa and gym facilities.
As mentioned, we stayed in a Junior Suite at the hotel, but there are a variety of different rooms available from their standard rooms right through to the Presidential Suite which has 3 rooms (all ensuite) and a massive lounge area with a balcony overlooking the alps.
Our ground floor Junior Suite had access to a massive patio which is shared by only 3 rooms in total and perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets over the alps.
Breakfast is included in your stay at The Cambrian Hotel, but if you’d like to order some lunch or dinner, there is a service offered for both lunch and dinner in the restaurant. If you just want a burger or something lite, head to Scotts Bar.
One facility that topped our stay at hotel was their spa and swimming pools they have to offer all guests!
There are two heated pools, which have AMAZING views of The Alps, of which one of them is indoor and the other outdoor.
The Outdoor Pool is where we spent some time enjoying some bubbles from the pool itself over a bottle of bubbles given to us by management at The Cambrian Hotel. One cool feature about this pool is that it has a small door to swim through, where you can get out of the pool INSIDE, so you don’t freeze when it’s snowing outside.
If you’re looking for some R&R during your stay, head down to the spa for a range of massages offered, an indoor pool, a gym and communal sauna / steam room area.
Things to do in and around Adelboden
There are a few things to do in Adelboden, but during our stay in this cute little village we visited 3 of their attractions, which were all equally beautiful and amazing.
1. Visit Blausee and witness first hand CRYSTAL CLEAR blue water
2. Eat Cheese Fondue and drink local beer inside an Igloo on top of the Alps
